The Saline Memorial Health Foundation is bringing a Branson comedy show to Saline County. Paul Harris and The Cleverly’s will be the main event on May 14, at the Benton Event Center.
Paul Harris, an Arkansas native, is widely known as a comedian, singer and musician, with tastes ranging from rock to bluegrass, and has been performing in Branson for nearly 20 years. He has performed at events such as the 2010 CMA Music Festival and has done his stand-up routine alongside big names like Blake Shelton, Jeff Foxworthy and Little Big Town.
The Cleverlys is the 'family band' that's best described by Harris himself as “bluegrass meets The Office.'' The Cleverly family band has toured the country extensively and become a well-recognized act among country and bluegrass fans. Their “backwoods” style band started at the bottom and quickly gained a large following when their cover of the Black Eyed Peas tune “I Gotta Feeling” was posted on YouTube in 2010 and quickly went viral. To date, the video has been viewed more than 2 million times. They also perform classic and contemporary tunes from artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flo Rida, Fergie, Beyonce—all with a blue grass feel or a “hillbilly” twist.
